Vitalfood has emerged as a new pan-European brand formed through the collaboration of Italcanditi and CSM Ingredients, specializing in the supply of fruit-based preparations, hydrated creams, and candied fruit. This partnership leverages over 70 years of experience from both companies, enhancing their expertise to better serve the Bakery and Fine Pastry, Dairy and Non-Dairy, Gelato, and Ice Cream sectors. With a combined production capacity of 150,000 tons per year, Vitalfood is poised to become a reliable partner for businesses seeking innovative and high-quality food ingredients.
The creation of Vitalfood unites Italcanditi’s renowned Vitalfood brand with CSM Ingredients’ global reach, aiming to provide a comprehensive range of solutions to meet the diverse needs of their customers. Vitalfood stands out for its breadth of offerings, including fruit-based preparations, hydrated creams, and an assortment of candied and semi-candied fruit. The strategic locations of the two production facilities in Pedrengo, Italy, and Goes, Netherlands, play a crucial role in ensuring efficient service and high-quality production.
The Goes facility, which dates back to the 1950s, has developed a strong expertise in creating fruit-based solutions and preparations specifically for the dairy and non-dairy industries. It operates on 21,000 square meters and employs approximately 100 individuals. In contrast, the Pedrengo plant, established in 1960, is significantly larger, encompassing over 80,000 square meters and employing around 400 staff members. This facility has established leadership in producing fruit-based preparations and hydrated creams.
With the integration of these two sites, Vitalfood will employ a total of 500 workers across 101,000 square meters of production area and boast an extensive portfolio of over 3,000 recipes. This consolidation not only enhances production capabilities but also provides substantial benefits to clients and partners.
