HIFOOD’s Micro Protein wins global food industry award

At the 22nd World Congress of Food Science and Technology, held in Rimini from September 8th to 12th, HIFOOD was awarded the Global Food Industry Award in the “Most Innovative Process” category for its Micro Protein. This groundbreaking range of micronized, plant-based, allergen-free, and clean label proteins was also a finalist in the “Most Innovative Ingredient” category.

Organized annually by the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST), the World Congress brings together over 150,000 food scientists and technologists from across the globe. The IUFoST Global Food Industry Awards celebrate advancements in product, process, packaging, nutrition, and food safety innovations.

Micro Protein, developed with cutting-edge technologies, offers a clean label and allergen-free option based on pea protein. With a fine texture and neutral taste, it minimally impacts the structure and flavor of end products. Boasting a protein content of over 70 percent, it is ideal for products featuring “protein-rich” or “source of protein” claims.
